A comprehensive overview of every programme, initiative, and service that Fundacja Pallotti delivers in Częstochowa and the surrounding region.
Fundacja Pallotti takes a holistic approach to community service. We do not simply address symptoms — we work to understand the root causes of need and design programmes that create genuine, lasting improvement in people's lives.
Our activities span seven core areas, each addressing a distinct but interconnected dimension of community wellbeing: social aid, education, elderly care, youth development, cultural enrichment, faith-based service, and volunteer mobilisation.
All of our programmes are delivered with dignity, respect, and a deep commitment to the Pallottine values of solidarity, compassion, and active service. We work in close partnership with local parishes, schools, businesses, and public institutions to maximise our reach and impact.
Educational inequality is one of the most persistent forms of social disadvantage. Our after-school tutoring programme provides free, high-quality academic support to children from low-income families, covering mathematics, Polish language, English, and science. Sessions are run by qualified volunteer tutors and take place twice weekly at two venues in Częstochowa. We also run school supply drives each September to ensure that no child starts the academic year without the materials they need. In 2024, we supported over 40 children through this programme, with measurable improvements in school performance and confidence.
Social isolation among the elderly is a growing and often invisible crisis. Our home visiting programme pairs trained volunteers with elderly residents who live alone and have limited social contact. Volunteers visit regularly, providing companionship, practical assistance with shopping and errands, and a reliable human connection. We also organise monthly social gatherings for elderly residents — lunches, afternoon teas, and cultural outings — that bring people together and combat loneliness. In 2024, our volunteers completed over 1,000 home visits to elderly residents across the city.
Young people are the future of every community, and investing in their development is one of the most impactful things we can do. Our youth programmes include leadership workshops, skills development sessions, community service projects, and mentoring initiatives that help young people discover their potential and develop a sense of civic responsibility. We work with secondary school students, university volunteers, and young adults who are not in education or employment, offering structured pathways to personal growth and community contribution.
A healthy community is one that celebrates together. Fundacja Pallotti organises a calendar of cultural and community events throughout the year, including our annual Summer Community Fair, Christmas gatherings, Easter celebrations, and themed workshops on Polish heritage, art, and music. These events are open to all residents of Częstochowa and serve as important points of connection, bringing together people of different ages, backgrounds, and circumstances in a spirit of shared joy and belonging.
Rooted in the Pallottine tradition, Fundacja Pallotti recognises the importance of spiritual wellbeing alongside material and social needs. We work in close collaboration with local parishes and faith communities to offer spiritual support, prayer groups, and pastoral care to those who seek it. We also support the organisation of retreats, days of reflection, and faith formation events that nourish the inner life of our volunteers and beneficiaries. Our faith-based work is always offered freely and never imposed — we serve people of all backgrounds and beliefs with equal care.
None of our work would be possible without our volunteers. Recruiting, training, supporting, and retaining volunteers is itself a core programme area for Fundacja Pallotti. We run regular volunteer orientation sessions, provide role-specific training, and offer ongoing support and supervision to all active volunteers. We also work to build a strong volunteer community — organising social events, recognition ceremonies, and development opportunities that make volunteering with us a rewarding and enriching experience. Our goal is to grow our volunteer base to 200 active members by 2026.
There are many ways to support our activities — from volunteering your time to donating goods or funds. Every contribution makes a real difference.
Social Aid & Food Programmes
Our flagship social aid programme provides food parcels, clothing, hygiene products, and household essentials to families and individuals facing poverty or crisis. We operate regular distribution days throughout the year, with additional seasonal campaigns at Christmas, Easter, and during the back-to-school period. In 2024, we distributed over 2,400 food parcels to more than 500 families across Częstochowa. All aid is provided free of charge, with no conditions attached, and is distributed with full respect for the dignity of every recipient.
